Every animal needs a balanced, high quality nourishment, whereby all the products can change in proposition. If the raw or beginning material and the end products are continuously being analysed then the total product can be adapted to the circumstances which is necessary for growth in stages. By doing this quality is being stable and assured throughout the year while per season there can be some differences in the raw material. Laboratory Nagel is specialized in the analyses of feeding stuff and its raw material such as molasses, soy shred, corn shred and more. We are familiar with Dutch Weender analyses (organised by TNO) and other proficiency tests to maintain our quality. A special product for our laboratory is molasses. This is a by-product from the sugar industry and is being defined as the end-product whereby it is economically not paying to refine crystal sugar out of sugar pulp any further. This sugar pulp can be taken from sugar beets and sugar cane. Molasses exists of about 40% until 50% sugar and is composed of sucrose, glucose and fructose. The molasses is being used in animal feeding because of its gumming and sticking, it is conductive to taste and need of energy. The tests we perform are commonly sugar, moisture, ash, crude protein analyses, but it is also possible to determine unwanted substances like dioxins, pesticides and heavy metals. |
